Part-time Legal Assistant

The attorney's practice involves criminal defense, civil rights litigation, dangerous dog proceedings and family court.
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in criminal defense and/or federal court, and be a notary.
Familiarity with e-filing a plus.
Must also be:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Communication with courts, clients, and witnesses Assist in the preparation of motions, discovery demands, responses, affidavits Legal research Preparing, organizing and maintaining files Scheduling Compensation to be commensurate with experience.
